The challenge

What needed to become clearer.

The website needed to inspire confidence in international travellers planning a Kenyan holiday from abroad. It had to make safaris, beach stays and destination choices visually compelling while keeping enquiry paths, multilingual browsing, mobile use and search discovery coherent.

The approach

How the product took shape.

I designed and developed the complete site around image-led destination storytelling, structured package discovery and trust-building travel information. Responsive layouts, instant language switching and technical SEO were treated as core parts of the experience rather than add-ons.

Target audience

Designed for travellers planning Kenya from near and far.

01Travellers from the United Kingdom
02International visitors planning Kenyan holidays
03Safari travellers
04Couples and honeymoon travellers
05Families
06Travellers combining safari and beach holidays

Client and traveller needs

Make Kenya feel desirable, understandable and trustworthy from abroad.

The site serves travellers who may be comparing unfamiliar routes, accommodation types and safari experiences. The interface balances inspiration with clear service context, reassurance and direct inquiry paths.

01

Visual direction and information architecture

Editorial travel storytelling with practical navigation underneath.

Large safari, wildlife, hotel and destination images establish the premium character. Beneath that visual layer, the content architecture separates safaris, stays, experiences, travel information and contact routes so visitors can move with confidence.

02

Safari discovery and booking journey

From first inspiration to a useful travel inquiry.

Package and destination presentation helps visitors compare experiences, combine safari and beach ideas and understand the next step. Booking and contact actions remain visible without making the browsing experience feel transactional too early.

03

Image strategy

Visual evidence is part of the travel product.

Multiple safari, wildlife, hotel and destination images create visual trust, communicate Kenyan locations, showcase the character of experiences, support package discovery and strengthen the premium identity. Images are presented responsively and optimised for delivery.

04

Responsive implementation

Travel discovery remains visual and usable from desktop to phone.

Navigation, editorial headlines, destination imagery, package content, inquiry actions and language controls were adapted for mobile rather than simply reduced. Touch targets, text measure and media proportions remain comfortable across screen sizes.

05

Multilingual experience

Language can change without breaking the browsing journey.

The interface supports real-time language switching so visitors can remain on the same page while supported interface and content text updates. Navigation stays consistent and the selected language is retained during the browsing session where the implementation supports it. No unsupported language list is claimed here.

06

Technical SEO, performance and accessibility

Built for discovery as well as visual impact.

Technical SEO includes page-level metadata, semantic content structure, search-friendly routes, descriptive image text, internal navigation and social-sharing presentation. Responsive behaviour, media optimisation, heading hierarchy and usable interaction states support performance and accessibility across devices.

07
